Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama has reiterated that the ruling party can only be removed from power after 100 years.

Mr Chama says by this period, there will still be no political party strong enough to replace the ruling party.
He states that those PF members who still think they can win elections on other political party tickets are therefore free to leave and join such political parties.

Meanwhile Mr Chama has advised party members positioning themselves for adoption as parliamentary candidates in the 2016 tripartite elections to stop their maneuvers.
Mr. Chama says the ruling PF has not yet started the process of identifying its parliamentary candidates for 2016.

He has told Qfm News by telephone that the PF leadership is however assessing each of its current Members of Parliament on the basis of their performance in their constituencies.
Mr. Chama says all PF Members of Parliament are therefore being encouraged to perform in their respective constituencies by visiting and addressing issues affecting their constituents.

He says this is besides them working towards ensuring that the infrastructure development agenda embarked on by the PF government is completed.
And Mr. Chama has disclosed that there has been a shift in how checks and balances are being rendered within the PF following his warning to party members that had allegedly been undermining President Edgar Lungu and wishing the ruling party defeat in next year’s general election.
