It’s my turn now-Lusambo eyes MMD Vice President position

As Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) National Youth Secretary, I wish to confirm that i will be running for the post of MMD Vice President-Politics.

 
I believe that time has come for young people in the MMD to be at the centre of leadership in the party. I have now offered my services to the party to help rejuvenate our party.

 

 

Everyone who has followed politics in Zambia for the last decade or so will know how much i have sacrificed for the stability and growth of the MMD. I have unquestionable loyalty to the MMD and a huge following among the youth in the party.
I firmly believe that if the MMD is to survive the next 20 years or so, it will be because of the tenacity and forward looking approach which should be employed by largely the young members.

 

Our founding members such as Akashambatwa Mbikusita Lewanika, Frederick Chiluba, Mbita Chitala, Chitalu Sampa, Levy Mwanawasa, Arthur Wina and other outstanding nationalists did play their part to restore this great nation to multipartism using the MMD as a vehicle.
We now believe that time has now come for young people in the MMD to take the party forward and secure economic freedom for all Zambians.

 

As leader of the MMD youths, I was instrumental in installing the party’s past and present leadership. I helped install late President Levy Mwanawasa into office, i helped also install Rupiah Banda into office and i also helped install Dr Nevers Mumba into office including the immediate past Vice President Political Dr Michael Kaingu and National Secretary Muhabi Lungu.
We have been helping all these past and present leaders to cook Nshima and we now believe that time has come for us to cook our own Nshima and eat it.
