Livingstone Mayor Faces Corruption Probe for Acquiring 18 “Plots”

Livingstone mayor Milford Mambo found himself squeezed out of office temporarily following widespread allegations of corruption involving his allocating himself 18 plots of land.

Getting impatient with the incessant complaints against Mambo the council convened a special sitting to probe the matter.

Mambo was asked to step out and after a lengthy deliberation the council decided that the accused official be given a 30 day window through which a seven adhoc committee will compile a report to the council.
Councillors are no strangers to land allocation scandals given their almost unrestrained access to the hotly sought after commodity.
