The Post Newspapers and crew have continued throwing spanners at every turn to delay the conclusion of the K14 million Development Bank of Zambia debt.

When the matter came up before the Lusaka High Court today the defendants who are The Post Newspapers, JCN Holdings and Mutembo Nchito raised preliminary issues before High Court judge Justin Chashi questioning whether it was correct to alter the charge or make add fresh charges long after the statutory period had lapsed.
Judge Chashi reserved ruling on the matter to September 23.

High Court had in 2011 ordered the defendants to pay the K14 million that they had borrowed during the time they ran the defunct Zambian Airways that was run down by heavy indebtedness.
However, during their appeal to the Supreme Court in 2013 the matter was sent back to the High Court for retrial on allegations that the matter was irregularly allocated from Judge Albert Wood to judge Nigel Mutuna.
