Midfielder Nathan Sinkala says Zambia are focused on picking up their first three points this Sunday away in Nairobi.

Chipolopolo kicked off their 2017 Africa Cup qualifiers on June 13 with a 0-0 home draw against Guinea Bissau in Ndola.

“We have no option if we are to make our qualification a reality,” the TP Mazembe midfielder said.

“They can assemble any team they want but we just have to remain focused and go to Kenya to beat them.”

Sinkala is one of 13 foreign-based players summoned to camp that began on Sunday in Lusaka for the September 6 qualifier away to Kenya.

This will be Zambia first meeting against Kenya in an Africa Cup qualifier since 1999.

Zambia beat Kenya 1-0 away and at home en route to qualifying for the Ghana/Nigeria 2000 tournament unbeaten in Group 6 with five wins and a draw.

Meanwhile, Zambia and Kenya head into match-day-two will leadership in Group E at stake in the race to the 2017 Africa Cup to be hosted by Gabon.

All four teams in Group E are tied on one point heading into this weekend’s game.

Kenya drew 1-1 away to Congo-Brazzaville in their Group E opener on June 14.
