Health workers at Lusaka’s Kanyama Clinic have downed tools demanding to be addressed by Lusaka District Health Medical team over violent acts by some members of the public.

On Saturday, irate members of the public attacked health personnel at the clinic demanding to be attended to and in the process broke two doors and some window panes.
The Health workers were not attending to patients due power blackout over the weekend.

But Lusaka Province Medical Officer Kennedy Malama disclosed that the health workers have been addressed and have resolved to get back to work.
Dr. Malama has called on the Health workers to be professional even in difficult situations.

  1. I don’t know if I can say anything good about the staff at the clinics especially chilenje clinic. Do they have supervisors????

  2. Some of these health workers especially at clinics irritates me so much. Though i can’t support da beating bt they shud learn 2b professional all the time.

  3. The problem we have is that most of these health workers are not CALLED to do their jobs, its like they are hired. Working as a nurse, doctor is a calling and not just something you copy from friends…
