Good Samaritans rob man of US$6,000

THREE criminals have attacked a 30-year-old man from the Democratic Republic of Congo and have stolen US$6,000 from him, Muchinga Province criminal investigations officer Fabian Mwaba has said.
Mr Mwaba said in an interview yesterday that the aggravated robbery happened on Wednesday around 20:30 hours in Nakonde.
He identified the victim as David Awilo of Lubumbashi.
Mr Mwaba said Mr Awilo was looking for accommodation when he arrived in Nakonde and the suspects offered to escort him to a nearby guesthouse.
“But instead of taking him to the guesthouse, they took him somewhere else where they produced a knife threatening to kill him if he did not surrender the money to them, hence he gave in and they got away with all his dollars,” Mr Mwaba said.
