Man jumps in front of train, takes own life

A MAN has died after throwing himself on an on-coming goods train, while another has lost his life after he was run over by a train – both in Kabwe.
Zambia Railways Limited (ZRL) head of corporate affairs Benson Ngula said on Monday that an unidentified man died in the Katima Mulilo area when he threw himself in front of a train.

On Sunday, a man who was allegedly sleeping on the railway track had his head cut off by a train.
Mr Ngula said ZRL is concerned that people are not cautious when crossing the railway.

Kabwe district commissioner Patrick Chishala, who also confirmed the accidents, said in the suspected suicide case, the man allegedly decided to kill himself after quarrelling with his mother.
