Football Association of Zambia-FAZ Presidential aspirant Andrew Kamanga has dismissed suggestions that he is not eligible to stand at next year’s FAZ elective AGM.

Reacting to media reports that he is not eligible because he is not a member of FAZ, Kamanga has told ZNBC sport that the FAZ constitution does not stop him from standing.

Kamanga has explained that the FAZ constitution stipulates that one has to be nominated by a football club and seconded by another for the nomination to be valid.

He further says the only way FAZ can bar him from standing is by convincing clubs not to nominate him.

Kamanga, who has accepted that he does not belong to any club at the moment says, that does not stop him from standing.

Meanwhile, Egypt based striker Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba has joined the Zambia Under 23 National Football team ahead of Saturday’s must win 2015 Senegal Championship qualifier against Ivory Coast.

The former Nkana hit-man was part of the team’s training game against Division two side K-Stars at the National Heroes stadium.

Kampamba completes the number of players called to camp by Coach Fighton Simukonda.

And Israeli based left back Emmanuel Mbola will miss Saturday’s

clash against the young elephants.

Team Manager Hastings Ndovi could however not disclose why Mbola will not be available for the match.

Ndovi says the team is injury free and confident of qualifying to the tournament in Senegal in December.

The top three teams at the Senegal Championship will qualify to the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The fourth team will have a play off with an Asian side to make the Olympics.
