11 drug stores shutdown

Eleven drug stores in Lusaka have been shut down for operating illegally.

This follows a Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority -ZAMRA- inspection exercise.

 

ZAMRA Spokesperson, Ludovic Mwape, has told ZNBC news in a statement that the drug stores shut down are in Chawama, Chainda, Kabangwe and Ten Miles area.

Mr. Mwape has explained that ZAMRA has also summoned the owners of the drug stores.

 

He has further explained that one of the owners of the drug stores, identified as Joseph Phiri, aged 29, is on the run.
