Zambia female police officer murdered, remains found in school ground

ZAMBIA Police Service only female Anti-Robbery Squad (also known as C5) member Catherine Dakwa has been murdered.
Ms. Dakwa who was also Nkwazi theatre club member has been murdered by unknown people.

 
Police spokesperson Mrs Charity Munganga-Chanda said Ms. Dakwa went missing on June 2, 2015.
“When we were told that she was missing, we immediately launched a search for her and opened an inquiry file,” Mrs. Munganga-Chanda said.
She said police on Monday received information that there were some remains found at Mumana Primary School.

 

“The remains were found at Mumana Primary School near the playing ground. So upon going there, we found the remains, a bottle of pesticides and her phone,” she said.

 

Mrs. Munganga-Chanda said Ms. Dakwa’s family was informed and that they positively identified her.
She said postmortem was done at the scene, adding that preliminary investigations showed that Ms. Dakwa was murdered.
Mrs. Munganga-Chanda said police had started investigating what could have led to her death and the people responsible.
