Woman pours hot cooking oil on sleeping hubby after marital dispute

Police in Shiwang`andu district of Muchinga Province have arrested a Woman of Chafilwa Village for assaulting her husband by pouring hot cooking oil on him after a marital dispute.

 

Both, Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Auxensio Daka and Shiwang`andu District Commissioner Annie Mutambo confirmed the incident to the Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in Shiwang`andu today.

 

Mr. Daka said the incident happened on Monday around 21:00hrs when Ngula Siambango poured hot cooking oil on her husband Ackim Banda while he was sleeping.

 

The Police Commissioner said Banda sustained general body injuries while his face has been deformed, adding that after the incident Banda was rushed to Chinsali District Community Hospital for medical attention while the accused person has since been arrested.

And Shiwang`andu District Commissioner Annie Mutambo said that Banda was later rushed to Chilonga Mission Hospital where he has been referred to Lusaka Trust Hospital.
