France offers radio,TV channels to boost Zambia’s content

France has offered her radio and television channels among them France 24 to Zambia in order to assist Zambia boost her content as the country migrates from analogue to digital television broadcasting.

French Ambassador to Zambia Emmanuel Cohet says France is also keen to explore areas of cooperation with the Independent Broadcasting Authority -IBA- in order to enhance the organisations capacity under the digital dispensation.

 

Mr. Cohet said this in Lusaka on Tuesday when he paid a courtesy call on information and Broadcasting Service Minister Chishimba Kambwili.

The Ambassador also hailed the excellent and long-standing relations between Zambia and France in many areas of development of mutual benefit.

And Mr. Kambwili said the offer from France is timely.

 

He also requested France to help the Zambia News and Information Service-ZANIS- with television Cameras to help it enhance its operations.
