Handcuffed prisoner jumps off moving vehicle while being taken to court

A REMANDEE OF MBALA IS ADMITTED AT MBALA GENERAL HOSPITAL AFTER HE JUMPED OUT OF A MOVING VEHICLE.
Division Criminal Investigations Officer Mubita Nawa confirmed the development to Mano News today saying the incident occurred on 8th June, 2015 around 20:40 hours along Kasama – Mbala Road.
Mr. Nawa stated that Waden Sikombe managed to remove
handcuffs and jumped from a moving Toyota Land cruiser as they were transported to Kasama for sentencing by the High court.
Mr. Nawa disclosed that Sikombe landed on the ground and sustained a cut on the head.
