Vice President Inonge Wina is tomorrow expected in Abuja, Nigeria to attend the inauguration ceremony of Muhammad Buhari as President of Nigeria.

Muhammad Buhari, a retired General and former military Chief of State, will be inaugurated as President of Nigeria on May 29, 2015.

Mrs. Wina will represent President Edgar Lungu at the inauguration ceremony which will be held at the Eagles Square in the capital Abuja.

Zambia’s Acting High Commissioner to Nigeria Maynard Misapa confirmed to ZANIS that Mrs. Wina will be among several heads of state and government from other countries who will attend the inauguration of General Buhari as new President of Nigeria.

Mr. Misapa said the Zambian Vice President is also expected to attend a luncheon, dinner and gala night to be hosted by the Nigerian government.

He said the Zambian High Commission has also organised a dinner for the Vice President where she is expected to meet and interact with Zambians living in Nigeria.

After his inauguration of Friday this week, Gen. Buhari will take over the running of the Nigerian government from President Goodluck Jonathan who is still in charge.
