Malawian truck driver dies after truck over turned

A 46 year old Malawian truck driver has died on the spot after a Southern African registered truck and trailer he was driving overturned in Kazungula area within Pemba district.

Southern Province Police Commissioner ,Mary Chikwanda identified the deceased as Esau Mukambewa Nkhoma of Lilongwe, Malawi.

Speaking to ZANIS in Choma yesterday, Ms Chikwanda explained that the man died around 12:30 hours after the international truck registration number NZL756GT and trailer number CRX920GT belonging to Tortland
company of South Africa overturned on Saturday.

She said the cause of the accident is not yet known.

She said the body is currently lying in Pemba main clinic and management of Tortland Company has since been informed about the tragedy.
