FAZ risks sanctioning by National Sports Council over fees

The Football Association of Zambia FAZ is among sports Association that risks sanctions from the National Sports Council of Zambia for failing to pay affiliation fees.

And National Sports Council of Zambia Chairperson Mwamba Kalenga says it is heart breaking that all football teams have been ejected in the early stages at international tournaments.

Kalenga says only nine Sports Association have paid their affiliation fees for 2015.

Kalenga warned that the deadline is March 31 and should Associations fail to pay they will face the wrath of the council.

Some of the Associations that have not paid affiliation fees for 2015 are the ZambiaAmateur Athletic Association ZAAA, Zambia Squash Association and ZambiaBasketball Association among others.

Katwish Bwalya reports that Kalenga was speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka.

And Kalenga says there is need for FAZ to address the poor performance of all Chipolopolo teams.

The Senior National Team, Under 17 and Under 20 were all ejected in the group stages of their competitions.
