Zambia Under-20 on Tuesday lost 1-0 to 2015 African Youth Championship hosts Senegal in a friendly played in Dakar.

The two sides went into the break scoreless in Zambia’s final build-up match ahead of the tournament that kicks off on March 8.

MTN football website reports that Coach Hector Chilombo fielded his strongest side that included striker Patrick Ngoma plus midfielder’s Lubambo Musonda and Spencer Sautu who were all part of the senior Zambia team at the 2015 Africa Cup in Equatorial Guinea.

Alassane Diouf scored the game’s lone goal in the 70th minute to hand Senegal their second win against another COSAFA zone side just two days after they beat South Africa by the same margin at the same venue.

Zambia are in Group B at the tournament where they will play South Africa, Mali and Ghana in Mbour.

Chilombo’s side kick-off their campaign on March 9 against Mali.
