-A clergyman in Kasama has bemoaned the increasing levels of political violence in the country.

In an interview with ZANIS today, House of Prayer for all Nations Pastor, Shepard Mumba, said Zambia, as a Christian nation, is a symbol of peace for other countries to emulate and violence should not take centre stage among politicians.

Pastor Mumba said political leaders must rise up and put their differences aside for the sake of peace in the country.

He observed that if tolerated, political violence can portray a bad picture for Zambia, a nation that is looked up to as a symbol of peace.

Pastor Mumba advised leaders to embrace peace and arrest political violence as it can cause untold havoc in the nation.

The clergyman added that Zambians are peace-loving people, a trend which he said must be sustained for many years to come.

Pastor Mumba has further wished all women a happy women week as they commemorate the International Women’s day.
