UPND president Hakainde Hichilema says PF Secretary General Davis Chama is merely bluffing by saying the 2016 tripartite election will be a walkover for the ruling party.
Mr Hichilema says Mr Chama’s claims are of a frightened individual considering that the ruling party’s support has dwindled as evidenced by results of the 20th January presidential election.
He says the PF’s support has dwindled by more than 300, 000 votes going by the results of the recent presidential election, while the UPND’s support has increased by the same number of votes.

Mr. Hichilema has told Qfm news by telephone that by suggesting that the 2016 general election will be a walkover for the ruling party, the PF Chief Executive Officer is only disguising his party’s fear of its impending defeat by attempting to wear a face of confidence.
He has reminded Mr Chama that the UPND won by landslides in PF constituencies of Mongu central, NALOLO and Mangango.
Mr. Hichilema states that Nalolo, Mangango, Mongu Central are considered as some of the PF strongholds.
