Nakonde Council Chairman calls for cautious planning of the district

 

 


Nakonde, March 2, ZANIS——————Nakonde District Council Chairman Nathan Siame has observed that there is need to plan the district properly as it is growing fast.


Mr Siame said this over the weekend during the official opening of Wembly Logistics loading bay at Wulongo.


Wembly logistics is a loading bay that has been opened by a local business man in the district.


Mr Siame said Government has created an enabling environment for both local and foreign investor’s country wide.


The Nakonde Council Chairman said the Patriotic Front government recognises the need for the private sector to partner with government if the country is to achieve sustainable development.


Meanwhile, Wembly Logistics Director, Robert Sichamba said he opened a loading bay so that he could add value to the district as well as create the most needed job opportunities for the local people.


Mr Sichamba said his company will provide offices for the council as well as the department of agriculture.


He however, thanked the council, the traditional leaders and other relevant authorities for allowing him to invest in such an infrastructure that has added value to the face of Nakonde district.
