Wife stabs husband to death

A 36- year- old man of Zambia compound in Solwezi has allegedly been stabbed to death by his wife after a marital dispute.

 

North Western division police senior staff Officer Hackson Mwiinga confirmed the incident to ZANIS in Solwezi today and identified the deceased as Rasho Saluseki while his wife has been identified as Liness Chipango aged 27 both of Zambia compound.

 

Mr Mwiinga said the two picked up a quarrel around 06:00 hours on Sunday after Saluseki allegedly came home late and a fight later ensued.

 

Mr Mwiinga said the neighbours who rushed to the deceased house found Saluseki lying in a pool of blood and managed to apprehend Chipango who wanted to run away.

 

Mr Mwiinga said police visited the scene and recovered a knife blade suspected to have been used in the alleged murder.

 

He said the deceased sustained a deep cut on his left chest wall and that his body was lying in Solwezi general hospital mortuary awaiting a postmortem while his wife is in police custody
