Emirates group intends to create about 11,000 new employment opportunities in the aviation industry across six continents in 2016.

 

Emirates group which comprises Emirates airline and Dnata plans to hire over 11,000 new staff in the coming year across its business, in line with its projected growth across six continents.

 

The new staff recruitment is expected to increase Emirate group’s staff size by six per cent by March 2016.

 

According to a statement released to ZANIS in Lusaka approximately half of the new recruits will include Dubai-based cabin crew for Emirates airline.

 

Skilled Zambians, who are suitably qualified and able to work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment, are encouraged to apply for the jobs through the group’s website.

 

Emirates Airline and Group Executive Vice President for Human Resources Abdulaziz Al Ali disclosed that the airline is also actively recruiting talent in areas such as Flight Operations, Engineering, Airport Services and Corporate functions as it gears up to receive over 20 new aircraft this year.

 

Mr Abdulaziz Al stated that the Emirates Airline and Group which provides aviation and travel services in 90 cities across 38 countries, is also seeking talent for its growing business, particularly airport operations, Engineering and commercial business development.

 

Emirates airline flies directly from Lusaka to Dubai and Harare on a daily basis.

 

Currently Emirate and group have over 75,000 employees in Dubai and around the world and more than 12,000 employees have been with the Group for over 10 years while almost 3,000 have worked with the company for over 20 years.

 

In 2014 Emirates received nearly 483,944 online applications for over 2,000 jobs, from over 227 countries.

 

It also receives an average of 1,500 career-related enquiries each month on its social media channels.
