Mulenga clears air over his position as provincial  PS

Chipata, Februay 12,2015, ZANIS —- Government has refuted claims that  it he has failed  the people of eastern province.

 

Eastern Province Permanent Secretary  Chileshe Mulenga  those championing divisions against  after  he  flashed out corrupt elements  embezzling public funds were not being fiair to him an the country as a whole.

He was speaking when a team from Water Resources Management Authority (WARMA) paid a courtesy call on him yesterday.

 

Dr Mulenga noted that people in Eastern province  were  generally hardworking and that those making noise,  interest was to misuse resources for personal gain.

 

“Provincial administration will not tolerate corruption, nepotism and misuse of government funds, even the famous dealings in Mukula trees has been controlled,” he added.

 

He said the role of public workers is to serve the country without segregation.  Recently there have been calls abounded for the removal of Dr Mulenga as Permanent Secretary from Eastern Province by some quarters.

 

 

However,  President Edgar Lungu after appointing and swearing in his cabinet said he will make changes and reappointments of deputy ministers and permanent secretaries when he comes back from his official tour of neighboring Angola next week.
