Kaputa residents have expressed disappointment with the continuous load shedding by the ZESCO.

The residents who stormed ZANIS offices in Kaputa today said they are upset that the power utility company has continued to make them live in darkness.

One of the residents who only wanted to be identified as Charity said Kaputa has been in perpetual power outages since last week and ZESCO has not dared to explain to the residents over what is happening.

She said the area has been experiencing serious outages as power is only there for few hours in a day.

Ms. Charity said the load shedding has also caused disruption of water supply as the water utility company depends on the same power to pump water for distribution.

She added that people with food in fridges are also worried that their foods is going to waste.

She has since urged ZESCO to work on the problem and restore power to the area.

And another resident who sought anonymity urged the power utility company to work on the problem to ensure that residents enjoy the benefit.

She said the area receives low power voltage which makes it difficult to power computers and printers.
