Senior citizens urged to support President Lungu
Solwezi, February 2, 2015, ZANIS….Newly appointed Northwestern province Minister Dawson Kafwaya says it will be difficult for the region to receive tangible development if people do not work with President Lungu.

Mr Kafwaya said people should embrace the Head of State and work with him for meaningful development to be realised.

He said President Lungu has good developmental plans for the province and needs the support of everyone regardless of political affiliation.

Mr Kafwaya said President Lungu has exhibited that he will deliver on his campaign promises with the few indications he has shown since assuming office.

He was speaking in Solwezi over the weekend when he met senior citizens.

Mr Kafwaya said his appointment should not be politicized by anyone because the President wants to have representation from all parts of the country.

He said he will not waste time responding to people that are calling him a rebel but will instead concentrate on moving the province forward.

And one of the senior citizens Cephas Kikwaba appealed to Mr Kafwaya to work with everyone.

Mr Kikwaba also cautioned people against despising the provincial minister saying the appointment was timely as people have for a long time been crying to have a direct link to the President.
