Magande justifies absence from January 20th polls

National Movement for Progressive Party (NMP) President Ng’andu Magande has justified his party’s decision not to participate in last month’s presidential election.

Mr. Magande says that he did not participate in the January 20^th presidential election because he believes that without numbers, it is difficult to make it in politics.

He says he cannot force himself to be on a ballot paper just for formality when they are other things such as community work that can be done in which people can benefit from.
