———-Three pupils of Angels Park School in Kalulushi were found tied together at Chambishi cemetery in a development that has shocked residents.

This was after they were taken to Chambeshi by unknown people who wanted to give them Grade Nine past examinations papers around 14:00 hours yesterday.

Kalulushi District Commissioner, Kampamba Mulenga, told ZANIS in an interview that another pupil managed to escape from the abductors.

This was after he became suspicious of the men who had driven them to some unidentified house in Chambishi.

Ms Mulenga said the named boy was found walking aimlessly in the streets of Chambishi around midnight by Good Samaritans.

She said that other three boys, who were found at Chambishi Cemetery early in the morning, are well and reunited with their families.

She has since appealed to members of the public and school children in the area to be alert of strangers.

Ms Mulenga said cases of abductions have become common and that measures are being put in place to address the issue.

In another development bandits have left a trail of terror in Kalulushi district on the Copperbelt.

The bandits, who targeted learning institutions, got away with K3 000 cash after locking a security guard in a strong room at Kalulushi Basic School.

The bandits, who were driving an unknown vehicle, also broke into Masamba Primary School but did not get anything.

Police sources in Kitwe told ZANIS in Kalulushi in an interview today that the thieves also got away with a lap top from the head teacher’s office.

The sources said the thieves later descended on the town centre where they attacked a business proprietor in Kalulushi.

Police have launched a manhunt.
