Government says Zambia has continued to attract credible foreign investors because of the country’s prevailing peaceful environment.

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo said the country’s peaceful atmosphere has in the last fifty years resulted into an influx of foreign investors in various sectors of the economy.

Mr. Kasolo also said the country’s peaceful transition of power in the previously held elections has greatly contributed to investor’s confidence in the country’s economy.

He said this at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka yesterday after welcoming a group of investors from the Magcor international development projects and the humanitarian project of Ghana.

Mr. Kasolo assured the investors that government will continue to create a conducive investment environment for all stakeholders wishing to establish their businesses in Zambia.

And Magcor international development projects president and chief executive officer Michael Glynn said his firm was very ready to invest in Zambia because of the existing prudent government policies.

Mr. Glynn further said his firm was ready to put up meaningful investment opportunities that will impact positively on the local people.
