— NFC Africa mining limited donates truck to Kalulushi Council

——–NFC Africa Mining Limited (NFCA) has donated a Sino Truck to Kalulushi Municipal Council and a Wall fence to Chambishi Secondary School at a total cost of over Eight Hundred Kwacha.

Speaking at the handover ceremony held at Chambishi Secondary School yesterday,  NFCA Corporate Affairs Manager Nelson JiIowa said the 900m by 2m security wall was constructed at a cost of Three Hundred and Thirty Three Thousand, Seven Hundred and Ninety Seven Kwacha (333,797.00).

 

He said the 250 tonne Tipper Truck was bought at a cost of Eight Hundred and Eighty Thousand, One Hundred and Forty Five Kwacha (K880,145.00)

Mr. JiIowa said the construction of the security wall fence was part of their Corporate social Responsibility (CSR) programme that they had endeavoured to fulfil in the areas of operation.

He said the fence would provide the much needed security not only to pupils but also to the school property as vandalism and any form of criminal activities would be minimised if not completely addressed.

Speaking at the same function, area member of Parliament Rayford Mbulu commended the company for the donation.

Mr. Mbulu said it was not the first time that NFCA was making such a huge donation, they had done it before.

He urged the local authority not to abuse the truck, but use it for its intended purpose.

And In a Vote of Thanks, Kalulushi Municipal Council Town Clerk Josephine Simwinga said the council could only achieve with its goals with the help of corpora ting  partners like NFCA.
