– The ruling patriotic front PF in Mpongwe District says the opposition united party for national development UPND has complicated its chances of winning next week’s presidential by election.

 

The  District PF constituency Chairperson Boniface Chushi says this is due to the many lies and slander propagated by the opposition party does not guarantee a win in next week’s presidential by election.

 

 

Meanwhile, Mr. Chushi has refuted claims of defections by senior party members in the area stating that the party was intact and campaigning vigorously ahead of next week’s polls.

 

 

In an interview with ZANIS, Mr. Chushi added that the people of Mpongwe understand the developmental agenda that the ruling party has put in place and will hence render their vote to PF presidential candidate Edgar Lungu.

Mr. Chushi stated that the PF deserves time to complete developmental projects initiated by late republican president Micheal Sata.

 

 

The opposition party in question has in many of its campaigns ahead of the anticipated January 20 th, 2015 Presidential By- elections attacked the ruling party and its candidate Edgar Lungu of mis-rule in the last three years of being in power.
