Police arrest teacher for murdering wife
Mansa, January 12, 2015, ZANIS………Police in Mwense district have arrested a teacher of Mukabi Primary school for murdering his wife.
Robby Mukuka , 25 of Mukabi village in Chief Mutipula’s Chiefdom in Chipili district beat up his wife Chakwel Banda (26) after accusing her of having sexual relations outside marriage.
Confirming the incidence to ZANIS in Mansa today, Luapula Province Police Commissioner Malcolm Mulenga said Banda was murdered between 7 and 9 January, 2015.
Mr Mulenga said the father to the deceased James Mwenge reported the matter to Police in Mwense.
Mr. Mulenga said Banda had no serious injuries but sustained a swollen leg and died upon reaching Mwense Rural Health clinic.
He said the body of the deceased had since been taken to Mambilima Mission Hospital mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
In another incident, a three year old girl of Messengers Compound in Mansa was defiled by a 15 year old house boy of Sumbu Village in Chief Kalasa Lukangaba.
This happened when father of the victim a Police Officer at the Airport was at work whilst the mother was cleaning the bedroom.
He said the girl has been taken to Mansa General hospital for medical examinations and the Juvenile has since been arrested.
