Nakonde woman pleads not guilty to assaulting her hubby
Nakonde,January 9,2015,ZANIS—A 31 year old woman of Chiyanga Village in Chieftainess Waitwika’s area of Nakonde District in Muchinga Province yesterday pleaded not guilty in the Nakonde Magistrate court to one count of assaulting her husband contrary to section 248 of the penal code chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.
Appearing before Magistrate Chilufya Lukwesa yesterday was Alice Mugode who is a house wife.
Particulars of the matter were that on December 29 2014,Mugode did assault her husband Lucky Simfukwe.
Magistrate Lukwesa has since adjourned the matter to January 12th 2015 for commencement of trail.
Mugode has been remanded in custody after failing to meet the bail conditions, among them, two working sureties.
