Scott assures marketers of good infrastructure

 

Chingola, January 3, 2015, ZANIS–Acting President Guy Scott says government
is on course to construct modern infrastructure for marketeers and
traders in the country.


Dr. Scott said government will continue to build proper
infrastructure where traders and marketers can conduct their
businesses in a descent and conducive environment.


He said traders and marketers are key partners in enhancing the social
and economic development of the country.


ZANIS reports that the Acting President said this when he commissioned a shelter at Phiri
Market in Chingola today.


And Phiri market chairperson Eunice Mwewa praised government for
attaching great importance to the welfare of marketers and traders in
the country.


While in Chingola, Dr Scott also inspected the ablution block
currently under construction at Chiwempala market.


Meanwhile, Dr. Scott said government has made strides in ensuring that
expectant mothers have access to better health care in the country.


Dr Scott said government has made progress in ensuring that maternity
wards are constructed in all health centres in order to reduce the long
distances that expectant mothers have to cover to access health facilities.


The Acting President said this when he toured the Kabundi East Health Centre maternity
wing in Chingola currently under construction at a cost of K730, 000.

 

Dr Scott is on the Copperbelt on a working visit.
