–Pambashe PF Member of Parliament, Ronald Chitotela, says the PF government has always been pleased to work hand in hand with the church.

Mr Chitotela said this in Mushota over the weekend at the ordination
reception of Rev Vincent Lungu of the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) for Kawambwa East.

He said for a long time now, the PF has acknowledged the Church as a partner in national development hence the working together towards enhancing development.

The law-maker said because of this cordial relationship the PF government will not hesitate to respond whenever called upon by the Church.

However, Mr Chitotela appealed to the Church to take a leading role in fighting against every evil scheme that intends to frustrate economic and national development.

He noted that corruption or violence, which may have potential to hinder progress and development, must be fought at all cost.

Mr Chitotela said the vices have potential to subject people to abject poverty while compromising peace and unity that citizens have enjoyed for a long time in the nation.

Meanwhile, Mr Chitotela has assured people of Pambashe Constituency that the PF government is committed to providing zero tolerance to corruption and violence free environment to its people.

However, he said the government needs the Church’s voice, prayers and support to achieve the fight against corruption during the transition period as Zambia goes for polls on January 20, 2015.

Mr Chitotela encouraged Zambian citizens to promote and advocate for peace during the transition period.

The MP donated K600 towards the improvement of the church’s structure in Kawambwa East.
