Lukulu DC urges Civil Servants to adhere to principles

Lukulu, December 25, ZANIS———————– — Civil servants in Lukulu district have been urged to adhere to civil service principles as they begin a New Year.

Lukulu District Commissioner Precious Muyenga said 2014 has been a good year saying with effect from January 2015, civil servants should follow all principles and code of ethics in the civil service without fail.

Speaking when she opened the Senior Management meeting for District Heads of Government departments and parastatal organisations yesterday at the council chambers, Ms. Muyenga called on officers to be transparent but to always exercise confidentiality in their day to day activities.

She further called on officers to be creative and assertive saying this contributes effectively to the implementation of government programs and projects.

Meanwhile, in the same meeting outgoing Lukulu Magistrate Kahonyi Mushabati disclosed that crime rate in the district has reduced this year.

Magistrate Mushabati attributed this to good working relationship between the local courts and the Police in the district.
