——-The ruling Patriotic Front in Southern Province has vowed to rally behind the candidature of party President Edgar Lungu.

PF Southern Province Acting Chairman Charles Hamududu told ZANIS in an interview in Mazabuka today that members in the area are throwing their weight and support behind Mr. Lungu whom they describe as a leader capable of continuing with the developmental projects that were started by the late President Michael Sata.

Mr. Hamududu who was flanked by Provincial vice Secretary Jane Chirwa and Provincial Women’s Secretary Mary Mutolwa said the party in the province has since embarked on a party mobilization campaign aimed at uniting all members.

The Acting Provincial Chairperson charged that it is high time party members buried all their differences and united as a family for the PF to stand a better chance of winning the forth coming Presidential by-elections.

Mr. Hamududu who conducted a series of meetings with party officials in Mazabuka drawn from wards, constituencies and districts said members should for now put aside their differences and ensure they campaign for Mr. Lungu.

He has since extended an olive branch to members that supported the candidature of Mr Miles Sampa saying they should come back to the party and reinforce the campaigns that have since started in earnest.
