Lukulu embarks on voters’ cards replacement exercise

—–Lukulu district has received part of the election materials in preparation for the forthcoming presidential elections to be held on January 20, 2015.

District Electoral Officer, Alfred Mungalu, said his officers will conduct a voter’s card replacement exercise to replace the lost and faded ones.

Mr Mungalu said the exercise will start from December 28, 2014 to January 4, 2015.

He advised those people who lost voters’ cards to obtain police reports and carry with them as they go for replacement.

Mr Mungalu further said that four centres, namely Civic Centre, Mbanga, Luvizhi and Kaluwawa have been chosen for the voters’ card replacement exercise.

In a related development, Mr Mungalu said voter education will commence this week after facilitators went through a training last week.
