— Youths in Western Province back Edgar Lungu

About one hundred youths from different organizations in Mongu District of Western Province have called on their colleagues in the province to rally behind PF Presidential candidate Edgar Lungu in the fourth coming presidential By- elections.

Speaking on behalf of the youths in an interview in Mongu District today, Namakando Lilandwe said under the PF government Western Province has seen massive developmental projects such as road construction, creation of new districts and employment for youths.


Miss. Lilandwe added that the province has also seen the allocation of funds in the 2015 National Budget towards the construction of King Lewanika University in Mongu District and a Science Technical University in Nalolo District respectively.

She pointed out that during the PF government the youths witnessed a draft driven people’s constitution and an increase in the allocation of Youth Development Fund (YDF) which has benefited a lot of youths in the province.


Miss. Lilandwe emphasized that there was need for the projects and programs introduced by PF government to be completed in order for the people of Zambia to have a fair judgment in 2016.

 

She added that the youths have chosen to rally behind PF president Edgar Lungu for continuity despite different parties expressing interest to contest for presidency.

 

She has since urged all the youths in the Province and the nation as a whole to allow the PF government finish its five years mandate of delivering to the people and focus on the year 2016 for possible change.

Meanwhile Miss Lilandwe has further called on the youths to reflect and begin eyeing for key possible leadership positions for possible generation change.

 


She noted that the country was yearning for a young vibrant leadership beyond 2016 stressing that the parents had a fair share of leadership in past 50 years.
