Munthali still our man — Mamfunda
Lusaka, 11th December, 2014, ZANIS– Zambia’s envoy in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confederation cup Power Dynamos says international defender Christopher Munthali is still a Power Dynamos player.
Club secretary Ricky Mamfunda has dispelled media reports that Nkana Red Devils have signed on-loan international defender Munthali on a permanent deal from Power Dynamos.
Mamfunda told ZANIS sports in an interview from Kitwe today that Power has not sat with Nkana to discuss anything regarding Munthali.
He said Munthali who has been on loan at Nkana from Power for the last two seasons has since been recalled to Arthur Davies stadium.
Mamfunda said the club will soon issue a full statement concerning the player transfers both inward and outward.
Nkana club secretary Ken Mwansa was yesterday reported in the local media as saying his club has successfully completed negotiations with Power Dynamos on the permanent stay of Munthali at Nkana.
Munthali who joined Nkana F.C in January, 2013 on loan from Power Dynamos was a key defensive pillar in Nkana’s 2013 FAZ Super Division title win.
