——-Residents in three wards of Kalulushi have been cut off after three bridges were washed away by rains.

In an interview with ZANIS in Kalulushi today, Kalulushi District Commissioner, Kampamba Mulenga, confirmed the development and named the three bridges as Twaiteka, Lulamba and Mariana in Chambishi.

And Ms Mulenga said the three bridges were the main economic life line for people in this part of the district.

She has since appealed to cooperating partners and stakeholders in the district to help repair the bridges, saying the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) has run out of funds.

And Chambishi Copper Smelter (CCS) has promptly responded to repair Twaiteka Bridge in Chambishi at a cost of K607.
