Mbereshi Mission in a financial boost

Mwansabombwe, Dec 8/14, ZANIS——-The Lawrence Sikutwa Associates (LSA) Group of companies has K10, 000 to Mbereshi Mission in Mwansabombwe district.

The money is to help ease some challenges being faced at the mission.

LSA chairperson, Lawrence Sikutwa, donated the money to the mission yesterday during the Golden Jubilee celebrations held at Mabel Shaw Girls Secondary School.

Dr Sikutwa, who was the guest of honour at the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, said the purpose of his organisation is to improve people’s lives.

Dr Sikuta further expressed happiness that the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) has continued to grow rapidly in the country, saying at the moment it has 4,000,000 members.

He said he was also pleased that the UCZ has built schools, hospitals and a university, adding that he had no doubt it would also help to develop the nation.

Dr Sikutwa pointed out that there was a lot the UCZ had done and was still doing in the country in the promotion of unity in the nation.

Meanwhile, Dr Sikutwa has implored Christians to aim for higher heights of being ready to respond towards Zambia’s enhancement of enhancing unity, serve the poor and speak for the voiceless.

He further said he had seen the challenges Mbereshi Mission had been facing, noting that his organisation would work with the UCZ.

The colourful Golden Jubilee Celebrations, that attracted more than 1,000 UCZ Christians under the Luapula Presbytery, were also attended by Kawambwa District Administrative Officer, Mwita Kasengele and Chieftainess Kanyembo of Nchelenge district.
