Kapundu Ward Councillor, Elliud Taulosi, said the K34000 Nsweta Bridge rehabilitation project was a greater achievement by government in terms of infrastructural development for the people in the area.

Mr Taulosi said this in a statement made available to ZANIS in Mwinilunga district today.

He said people of Nsweta community used to find it challenging to access health and education services among others before the reconstruction of the bridge and expressed happiness that now the burden has been lessened.

And DMMU Regional Co-ordinator, Peter Kabaso, said the local people were engaged to reconstruct the bridge which has a life span of five years and expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done.

Mr Kabaso said the bridge will also open up the root to Kakoma through Kanyama to Mwinilunga BOMA and appealed to people in communities to be resilient when faced with natural disasters and support government when it comes to rehabilitating such facilities in their areas.
