Govt approves land fund for Chikankata
Chikankata, December 4TH 2014,ZANIS —– Government says it has approved the Land Development Fund for Chikankata District.
Chikankata District Council Secretary Damson Mukwato confirmed that the development during an interview with ZANIS today in Chikankata.
The Land Development fund is money which Councils in the country are entitled to in order to open up new areas in the District for Development.
He explained that the approved funds amount to a total of K5 Million (five million kwacha only).
He noted that the funds are meant to develop the place at the site of District Town at Nega Nega in Chikankata.
He explained that the funds are supposed to facilitate numbering of the place, bush clearing, soil clearing, soil stabilization, heavy and light grading, gravelling and water reticulation.
He said this will improve and increase accommodation in the District in order to attract and retain qualified staff and effective District Development.
