Three killed in Limulunga accident

Mongu,  24 November,  2014, ZANIS—Three people including a 29-year-old female have died on the spot in a road traffic accident along the Mongu – Limulunga road.

ZANIS reports that the accident happened after the driver of a Toyota Camry registration number ABJ 1604 they three were travelling in lost control and rammed into ZESCO cables.

The accident happened at the weekend on Saturday around 18:30 hours in Malengwa area when the driver identified as Frank Sitali aged 29 of Katoya village chief Libumbu lost control and overturned due to excessive speed.

Western province Commissioner of Police Lombe Kamukoshi has confirmed the accident to ZANIS .

Ms Kamukoshi identified the passengers as Liswaniso Sikaba, 51, of Winela compound in Chief Libumbu and Ms Tabo Sibote, 29, of the same area.

Ms.Kamukoshi noted that the victims met their fate when they were going to Limulunga from Mongu for a family visit.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the all the three deceased are lying in Lewanika General Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem and burial.
