Kasama District Commissioner Kalanga Bwalya has encouraged football players to work hard.

He said football is a career and that players should take seriously saying the sport could bring progress and great benefits to their lives.

He said this when he officiated at the awards giving ceremony for Kasama United Youth Academy over the weekend.

The DC said upcoming footballers should aspire to become great like Zambian football legend Kalusha Bwalya who he described as a very good example of how football could change lives.

He said football was becoming an industry in Zambia and players should take it seriously as it can build a person’s career.

Bwalya encouraged the players to continue practicing hard if they were to improve their skills and represent the country in international football leagues.

And Lewis Mbulo, awarded as player of the year thanked Kasama United management for the award giving ceremony organized to motivate the players.

He encouraged his fellow footballers to be disciplined and determined for them to succeed in their careers.
