The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) says Late President Michael Sata will be remembered for championing workers social security in the country.

NAPSA Board Chairperson Teddy Mulonga said the late head of state was committed to ensuring that workers and retirees plight in the country is addressed.

He said Mr Sata brought a different and profound dimension to labour administration in the country.

Mr Mulonga was speaking in an interview with ZANIS after leading NAPSA Board Members and staff in laying wreaths on the grave of the late Head of State at Embassy Park in Lusaka.

And NAPSA Director General Charles Mpundu said NAPSA will continue to foster job creation in line with Mr Sata’s legacy of job and wealth creation.

He said his institution has since embarked on a robust viable infrastructure development aimed at creating employment for Zambians.

Mr Musonda further reaffirmed Napsa’s commitment of improving and ensuring that workers benefits meet retirement needs of Zambian workers.
