PRESIDENT SATA PUT TO REST IN PICTURES BY EDDIE AND THOMAS -- Kambwili

Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili says anybody thinking of expelling acting President Guy Scott from the Patriotic Front is not in the right frame of mind.

Contributing to debate on the 2015 budgetary allocation for State House in Parliament this morning, Mr Kambwili says as far as he is concerned no Central Committee meeting was held to expel Dr Scott and that to his knowledge Dr Scott has not been expelled.

Mr Kambwili was reacting to some media reports suggesting the PF Central Committee has expelled acting Republican and PF President Dr Guy Scott.

And winding up debate on the State House budget, acting leader of government business in the house,Yamfwa Mukanga emphasized that Dr Scott remains acting President and has not been expelled by anybody.

M r Mukanga says the PF is a law abiding party and can never take such an action.

Earlier his contribution to the debate, Monze Central Member of Parliament Jack Mwiimbu said the ruling Patriotic Front is creating anarchy and provoking the Zambian people out of greedy and desperation for power.

Mr Mwiimbu says the decision by the PF to expel Acting President Guy Scott as reported by the Daily Nation is recipe for chaos in the nation.

Mr Mwiimbu wondered why the PF should deliberately cause anarchy in the country, barely one week after the death of President Michael Sata.

He has appealed to the PF to put the interest of the country ahead of their individual interests.

And Luena ADD Member of Parliament Mulumemui Imenda says to assume that the Zambian presidency is only a preserve of black Zambians is discriminatory and against the republican constitution.

Ms Imenda says what was overthrown in 1964 was the system of oppression and discrimination which existed then and not the colour those people.

She says the seat of President should be protected from any form of discrimination.

Mafinga Member of Parliament Cathrine Namugala on Wednesday told Parliament that she is saddened that a non indigenous Zambian in Dr Scott was acting as President.
