POLICE in Luanshya have arrested five people for allegedly being in possession of Grade Nine English and Science examination papers.
Copperbelt Province commissioner of police Joyce Kasosa said the arrests were made on Monday around 01:30 hours at house number 2520 in Luanshya’s Mikomfwa township.
Ms Kasosa said among the suspects is 36-year-old Melani Banda who is believed to be the owner of the house where the pupils allegedly converged to peruse the alleged leaked examination papers.
She named the other suspects, who are all Grade Nine pupils aged between 19 and 20, as Charles Mofya, Winston Kawanga, Peter Chansa and Joseph Mutale.  They are detained in police custody awaiting court appearance.
