Thousands witness Late President Sata funeral proceedings live broadcast in Mongu District

 


Mongu, November 12th , 2014. ZANIS— Scores of people from all walks of life and different denomination thronged Mongu  Stadium in Mongu District of western Province to watch the live broadcast of  late President Michael Sata’s funeral and burial proceedings.

And Western Province Permanent Secretary Augustine Seyuba says  the late President Sata will be remembered as a man of vision, action, frankness and an exemplary man.

The live broadcast by the ZNBC outside broadcast gave mourners in the area to watch the funeral procession and burial on a big screen at the stadium.

 

Most of the mourners who included Western Province Permanent Secretary Augustine Seyuba where clad in black and in solemn mood as they watched the funeral procession.

 

Both women and men were seen sobbing as the sung hymens in paying their last respects to the fallen Republican president.

 

And Western Province Permanent Secretary Augustine Seyuba says  the late President Sata will be remembered as a man of vision, action, frankness and an exemplary man.

 

He added that it is the responsibility of the people of Zambia and Western Province in particular to ensure that his legacy lives on.


Mr. Seyuba added that the people of Zambia should not allow anyone to take away the prevailing peace that the country has been enjoying since independence to date.

He urged the people to be patriotic in order to ensure that life is secured.

And Barotse Royal Establishment Representative (BRE) Induna Inete said the BRE is heart broken by the passing away of Mr. Sata.

Induna Inete  added that they have not missed any funeral program from the t time the morning period started.

He has since wished the first family Gods comforting hands in this trying moment adding that it’s good to look back for one to go forward.
